FAQs
What is aquamation?
Aquamation is a sustainable water-based cremation alternative that is more gentle for your pet and the planet. Aquamation combines 95% water, 5% salt, and gently circulating water to accelerate the natural decomposition process that occurs in soil. Why is there so much ash?
Since the aquamation process is so much more gentle than fire, it results in about 20-40% more ash. This ash is a much lighter color compared to flame-based cremation.
How do I know this is my pet?
All our pets are assigned a unique identifying metal tag number that follows each pet through every stage of their journey. Every metal tag number is entered into our online portal, is attached to your baby’s ashes, and will be written on all your baby’s keepsake items. This is how we know with 100% certainty that you have your baby and only your baby.
Why does the paw outline on my ink paw print/clay paw mold looks larger than my pet’s paw?
Every paw is unique and sometimes the shape of the paw requires a little extra pressure to create an ink paw print or clay paw mold. This action may cause the paw impression to look larger than they really are.
Why does my paw print/clay paw mold show claws when my pet was declawed?
The light pressure on a pet’s paw to create the paw impression may cause claws to appear even when a pet has been declawed or their nails have been trimmed.
Why are my fur clippings wet?
If your fur clippings are wet, that means we have rinsed them thoroughly with water to make sure that your baby’s fur is clean.
Why do my paw prints look this way?
Our paw prints are authentic and imperfectly beautiful. Sometimes the fur on a pet’s paw adds additional texture to an ink paw print. This adds to the beauty of knowing that you have a piece of your baby’s memory forever.
How do I open my wood urn?
There is a screw on the bottom of your wood urn. We recommend using a power tool to open this. Transferring of ashes from a wood urn to a custom urn of your choice is a complimentary service that we offer our families.
