Obituary For Molly Hortencia Gerow

The Rose Of Our Heart: An Eternal Smile

Molly, MAolly, Gordita, Princesa…Our little girl.

Who she was was how you knew her. Did you share a car ride that you can't un-smell? Discover that some fur cannot be cleaned? Enjoy a snore-filled night? Find out that there is not enough food to be full? Guilted by a silent stare? A hug when you needed it most? Understood without a word? Loved without hesitation?

This is Molly. Although unable to talk, she spoke to all of us. She accepted Us with every flaw. She gave patience when all we had was emotion. She showed that life is best lived by living.

Molly took our ignorance: a pitbull, heavy, messy, loud; calmly smiled; and loved everyone fully as our hearts realized our foolishness. She always had the last laugh.

Molly's sweetness was innate but also reflected those who loved her. A Mother who loved her through the rough times so we could remember the great ones.

On January 12th, 2025, surrounded by family, Molly peacefully passed. Her departure from Our life will always be too soon, but her lessons and memories are forever.

Remember Molly when you smile. Remember her when you need courage. Remember her when you should think before you act. Remember her when something messy is an opportunity to love. Remember Molly when you feel the morning sun's warmth and take a moment to enjoy the breeze. Remember Molly in the moon's glow. Smile with Molly when you see a shining star.

Molly, thank you for this beautiful life. We love You.
