Obituary For Polo
Polo Richards transcended this life on March 28, 2025 at the age of 17. He was welcomed into a loving family on February 15, 2011 shortly after his pet parents were married in Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was the loving and devoted dog of Taij Richards and Joy Richards. He was the grand-dog of Cherry Richards and the late Claudia Hatfield.
Polo was more than just a pet; he was family. He was loved and adored by every person and pet he encountered. He was very active and burned lots of energy during his daily walks and runs. He loved the delicious taste of chicken breast. He would relax while basking in the sun with the warmth of the evening grass on his belly.
The connection Polo shared with his pet parents was strong and unrivaled. His longevity on this earth is a testament to the strength of the family bond. He was a source of joy for his pet parents and is already sorely missed.
His long life was attributed to not only his loving pet parents but also the care and support of All Pets Animal Hospital in Bentonville, AR; Animal Health Center in Sikeston, MO; Gully Animal Hospital in Arlington, TX.
There will be a special private memorial to celebrate and commemorate his life, held at several of his favorite parks in Texas.

This post is in memory of "Polo"..Taij and Joy I like to extend my deepest condolences and prayers during this difficult time period. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Polo however Aunt Cherry shared with me many memories, updates and milestones about Polo so I was able to keep up with his great journey of life. I know no amount of words can take away the sadness you both must be feeling without his presence daily, please know that the love and care that you provided Polo is immeasurable, you served him well. To Taij and Joy💞 Polo will be greatly missed. I was anticipating my next trip to Dallas. Thinking back on how Polo faithfully checked on me when I visited. Before l got out of bed and before he began his morning routine, he would do a walk through. 💜 I would like to leave this poem. ************************************** You lost your faithful companion Your furry four legged friend. His life was full of pleasure And fun until the very end. He always walked beside you Wherever you would go. Wagging his tail so proudly With(out) a bark to let you know. And now he is gone No longer by your side. But the memories that you have Will forever fill you with pride. ~Gone but not forgotten~
