Adopted in November of 2018 from Apollo Support & Rescue in Justin, TX. Visited Roman (Eli - name he got as a puppy) at the rescue with Burgess for their meet & greet. They instantly became best friends. We knew right there Roman was part of our family. We had him for 7 years. He & Burgess were best friends & he was inseparable from Burgess. He grew on us every day. His passing was out of nowhere. He was fine on 8/19 then on 8/20 he could barely walk, difficulty breathing, & blood work with a lot of things indicating nothing good. X-rays showed a possible mass & it is believed he had internal bleeding due to possibly a ruptured mass on his liver. This has hurt us. Knew being selfish wasn’t right. Roman is missed every day.

To Roman -

You’re missed a lot. I don’t know where to begin. You left us way too soon. Not hearing you or seeing you is hard & hurts. I’m sorry I didn’t notice before if there was anything wrong. I’m sorry I couldn’t save you from this. I miss you gnawing on your bone, seeing run between the bedroom & living room, looking out the window at all that’s going on, barking at others, seeing your concerned & mischievous look you always have, your pickiness on your food, begging for our human food, your baying when you like to talk, your excitement when we got home, how you’d sneeze when you get excited, watching you cuddle with Burgess, your snuggles with us when you wanted love, constantly following me around the home, how you’d always talk to get you out of the kennel when we would get home, how you’d watch TV, your unconditional love, your loyalty, your dedication, getting me through hard times, your forgiveness if I might of had a short tone or gotten frustrated, watching over us & your sister Burgess, & being a loving & loyal companion & best friend. You will always be part of our family. I will never stop missing you & I will never stop loving you. You will always have a piece of my heart. You will forever be in my heart. I love you Roman!
